  10.        This section describes changes, bug fixes, known problems,
  11.        and known documentation errors relating to the audio
  12.        capabilities of the SCSI CD-ROM drive.

  14.        Starting with IRIX 6.3,  The Digital Media Execution
  15.        Environment subsystem for 6.5 (_d_m_e_d_i_a__e_o_e._s_w._t_o_o_l_s) includes
  16.        the program _c_d_p_l_a_y_e_r(1), which provides a number of
  17.        improvements over its predecessor, _c_d_m_a_n.  Cdplayer uses the
  18.        standard digital media look-and-feel and provides much more
  19.        extensive facilities for moving between tracks and for
  20.        copying digital audio from CD tracks to sound files on disk.

  22.        The program formerly known as _c_d_p_l_a_y_e_r has been renamed
  23.        _c_d_h_e_a_d_p_h_o_n_e and resides in /usr/bin/X11.

  31.           +o Cdplayer doesn't handle slower CD-ROM drives well. In
  32.             particular, when playing off of a 1x or 2x CD-ROM
  33.             cdplayer will sometimes let the audio ring buffer
  34.             underflow, resulting in audible clicks.  This is not a
  35.             problem on Onyx2 and O2 system CD-ROMs.
